WHAT IS THE CHANGING LIVES TOGETHER INITIATIVE?

Our desire to impact lives, bring hope and empower people to live better is at the heart of everything we do through the Changing Lives Together Initiative.  This dynamic program, launched under the visionary leadership of Bishop Lyle Dukes and Pastor Deborah Dukes, the Senior Pastors of the Harvest Life Church, consists of several established and developing outreach initiatives whose impact can be felt and seen throughout the community, nation and the world.

The Changing Lives Together Initiative is a movement that unites thousands of people within community organizations, business networks, churches and more, to effect major change on a global scale. We are grateful for the countless lives we can impact – with every mouth we feed, every family we uplift and every child we support with clothing, school supplies or toys – it all comes down to one mission – changing lives. Reaching Our Community

We care about our community! Now serving as one of the largest outreach programs in Prince William County and the Greater Northern Virginia / DC Metropolitan regions, we are touching lives, helping families, meeting needs and making a difference every day!

Some of our local Community Outreach Programs include:

World Missions

Our world missions outreach extends from the United States to the United Kingdom, India and the region of Eastern Africa where we have built the 2,000 seat Harvest Conference Center in Nakuru, Kenya. This facility serves as our Africa ministry headquarters and is used for weekly church services as well as distribution of food, clothing and other necessities for families in need. We have also built several schools that are helping children to see a bright future by providing them with a strong academic and spiritual education, daily meals and more. For some of the children, the meals we provide at our schools are the only meal they will have all day.

We also have a medical facility that provides medical care for thousands of families in dire need and houses a maternity ward. Our desire is to increase our aid to the people of Kenya and with your help, we will be able to make a greater impact through our Changing Lives Together World Missions initiatives!

Prison Outreach

We are making a great impact through our dynamic Prison Outreach Program by hosting worship services in local adult detention centers, providing bibles and other Christian literature and through our Second Chance Program, to help former inmates in their transition back into society. We also host a toy drive every Christmas season and collect toys for the children of those who are incarcerated so that we can be a blessing to their families.

Disaster Relief

Through our Changing Lives Together Initiative we are able to provide prompt assistance and aid, both locally and at an international level, to those devastated by natural disasters. From helping restore families who have lost everything in house fires to providing water, food, and essentials to the hurricanes, earthquakes and other natural disasters. We continue to be there as a support and help in the difficult times when people need it the most.
