You Da’ Man

“Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,” 2 Timothy 1:9

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14

Your spiritual life will always drive your natural life. When you see a man with no hope, no aspirations and no enthusiasm for life, that is a man who has a very depleted spiritual disposition. With no God, you will essentially have no life.

Many people are good at faking it and are often presented as “successful,” but years later are revealed to have addictions or other serious problems. Their success is very shallow.

God brings wholeness and purpose to mankind. Real success and fulfillment can be found in Him. When you start to live out your purpose — for the first time — real joy, peace and accomplishment appear. God is the solution to our problems, the answer to our questions. Start building up your spiritual life through prayer and worship. It’s time to embrace who God wants you to be.

God is Calling You Out

You are a man of purpose. God selected you specifically for this day and hour. There is something significant for you to do before you leave Earth. The reason I know this is because He has kept you until now. Just think about it — with some of the things you were involved in — you probably shouldn’t be alive right now.

Even when God kept you from hurt, harm and danger, most of us really don’t recognize the preserving power of the Almighty God.

God kept some of us sane enough so that we would not self-destruct. Thank God for His mercy and grace.

Now that you are here, you may as well embrace God’s will for your life. I believe that the Lord strategically placed you in the environment where you currently live.

God is calling you, just as He called Gideon out of a mundane life and hiding from his destiny. God told Gideon that He was going to use him. Note that Gideon was not a military man and had no record of leading people, but…

“…the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.” Judges 6:12

I believe that God is calling you out and regardless of your record, God will use you. He is not looking for a resumé — He’s looking for a willing soul.

What you do in the future may not bear any resemblance to what you’ve done before. Our God will blot out all of your sins and restore you.

You are the man that He is calling — answer the call!

Inner Courts Prayer

Dear God,

Thank you for designating a purpose and plan for my life. Thank you for calling me in spite of my condition.

Lord, it is my desire to fulfill and complete your will for my life. Use me in a very powerful way as I seek to live out the purpose that you have scheduled for me. I love you and I live for you.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.
