Singled Out For A Purpose

Let’s face it. For some of us, being single wasn’t exactly what we planned. Yet, what tremendous joy and peace we find in God’s Word – for Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us,

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

That’s right! God knows the plan that He has for each of our lives – and as Christians, we know that the best laid plans are the God-ordained ones!  Although we may sometimes face challenging times, the God that we serve is able to keep us, strengthen us and use us for His glory. When you follow God and obey His Word, you are right where He wants you to be – on the pathway of your divine destiny in Him!

Psalms 37:23 teaches us that,

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.”

Whether married or single, God put all of us here for a very special purpose. As a single man or woman, you are well positioned to reach others by serving in your local church ministry and allowing God to use your gifts, talents and abilities to advance His Kingdom. When you seek Him first in all that you do, not only does He meet your every need, but every day becomes a beautiful journey towards truth and purpose in Him.

Yes indeed, single life is a blessed life – one filled with great purpose, promise and possibilities. I encourage you to rejoice in the gift of freedom that we all have in Christ, delight in every moment with Him, celebrate every blessing, embrace every opportunity to give and to serve at your local church – and walk in every promise that He has granted. You are not just single – you are singled out for a purpose!
