We are living in a time where people need the Lord Jesus Christ like never before. As leaders, we are on a rescue mission to fulfill The Great Commission of reaching souls for Jesus Christ.

Here Are a Few Steps You Can Take When Leading People To Christ

1. Create a Prayer List

Place the names of those you want to lead to Christ on your list (or if you have someone in mind but don’t know their name, use a description, e.g.“Cashier at Walmart”), then commit to pray over those names every day. And, pray for an opportunity to lead these souls to Christ.

2. Start a Conversation / Invite Them to Church

Start a conversation with a family member, friend, co-worker, etc. with the purpose of leading them to Christ and inviting them to church. That’s what Jesus did with the Samaritan woman…He met her where she was and started a conversation with her. The Bible says that “…he that winneth a soul is wise”!

Your leading question to the person can be, “What church do you go to?”

Their Possible Responses:
• I don’t go to church
• My home church is ….
• I’m not into that….

If you’ve gathered by the conversation the person is saved then you’ve connected and met another believer.

If you have gathered from the question they need to be saved / need a church home, then invite them to Harvest Life Church! You don’t have to know the Bible from cover to cover, you don’t need a degree in theology – all you need is your passion for reaching people and to remember, you may be the one God has called to lead this person to Christ. If not you, then who?

Note: After the 9:15 am and 11:30 am services, there is a First-Time Guest Meet and Greet.  Invite your guest to the Meet and Greet to meet our Senior Pastors – and you can come as well.

Use Your Tools

We have several tools that can assist you when you are inviting people to church.

Harvest Invitation Card

It’s a good idea to keep a few of these with you so that you can be more intentional about giving them out.  (Located in the seat pockets on the back of the chairs in the sanctuary). They’re also helpful because you don’t have to try to remember the church website, social media platforms, service times, etc. We’ve done that part so you don’t have to! Download the card above and invite someone to church today!

Event Flyers

You’ll see the event flyer graphics on our website home page, on certain event pages, and posted on our social media platforms. You can download them to your device and send to friends, family or someone you meet.  It’s also good to share/repost event graphics on your personal social media pages.

The Harvest Website

The Harvest Life Website is likely the most comprehensive resource we have! If you need to share any information about the church with someone, it’s best to refer them to the website – this will ensure that they are getting the most up-to-date information.

It’s a good idea for you to acquaint yourself with the basic structure of the website so that you can quickly and confidently point out any information needed!  If you find that you are getting a certain question over and over and you can’t find the answer on the website, you can send in a Harvest Life Church Ministry Submission Form and submit that question for consideration.

Get Them Connected To The Church!

This is crucial! First of all, the church is God’s idea and His plan to get us from sin to salvation, from salvation to stability, from stability to success and from success to significance. It’s important that they get into a church – this great Life System – so that they can be taught the Word of God, grow spiritually, be nurtured and discipled, use their gifts and talents, be strengthened through fellowship and the list goes on.

Conclusion

When it comes to reaching souls for Christ, the bottom line is “Just Do It!” No matter what you think about your abilities, God has called you to lead people to Him! No one becomes an effective witness just by reading about it. It is time to get off the bench and get in the game! We all get nervous, but as we obey the Lord He has promised to help us. Now, let’s get out there and win souls for Christ!
