The Harvest Youth Ministry is serving God and the community!
On Saturday, September 17th, a team of youth cooked and served breakfast to residents at the Hilda Barg Homelessness Prevention Shelter. They also took time to clean and organize a storage area at the shelter.
Our Youth Ministry Director, Minister Brittany Dukes-Bryant, works with our Community Outreach Director to schedule service opportunities for the youth.
“It’s so important for the youth, even the very young children, to learn the value of serving others, and the joy and blessings that come along with it”, stated Minister Dukes-Bryant. “We’re building strong Christian leaders with a heart for service.”
The youth have undertaken other community outreach opportunities, such as singing Christmas carols for senior citizens (age 3 through 5th grade) and doing arts and crafts, manicures and playing games with senior citizens (6th – 12th grades). They have also been part of Keep Prince William Beautiful Community Cleanup, served at the Children’s National Medical Center and more!
We’re living better, loving better, serving better and giving better – that’s the Harvest Life!
